Ivy is a flashy whirlwind of a Cardigan (11" and 27 pounds) in an itty, bitty package!  She is approximately four years and was originally an unclaimed stray.  I can't imagine why!  Ivy learned routines very quickly after initially coming into our house like a kid in a candy store--dashing here and there investigating everything and everyone.  She has calmed down considerably, and enjoys hanging out snoozing, wherever her number one human is.  Ivy is cute and funny and very, very sweet.   When invited, she jumps up on your lap and gives kisses; and loves to lie on her back for tummy rubs.  I have taken her to play with the neighbor's children and they all had a great time romping in the yard and playing fetch with a tennis ball.  Ivy retrieves to hand and will fetch until you drop.  She also enjoys "killing" squeaky toys by shaking and throwing them over her head, and chomps on nylabones with great gusto.   Ivy is housebroken and crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. Our two-mile walks are a favorite time for her.  She has been living in our home with two cats and two dogs and her initial prey drive issues with the former have disappeared.  Squirrels are still fair game.  She is smart and bright and very biddable as she learns obedience commands.   The TV fascinates her, and she gets excited if an animal is on the screen, and runs closer to look.  I think Ivy would be suited to almost any home, but especially one where the humans want to have an interactive life with their dog.  Ball playing should be a given, as well as daily walks.  I think Ivy has definite potential for Obedience and Rally, but mostly wants to be a devoted companion.

Duke is a handsome 6-year old sable boy -- sweet as can be, energetic, bright, and easy to teach new things to and fun to be around. He was turned into Rescue because his people were divorcing and could not keep him. A car apparently hit him years ago. Properly lifting and handling Duke is essential so he does not experience pain in his lower back and hips. Duke would do well as an only dog or part of a family with a non-aggressive dog. He needs to be in a family with children 12 and older, no steps that he needs to utilize daily, and with folks who will be kind to him, understand his limitations but willing to set boundaries. Duke is house and crate trained - a well-mannered male. Although he has some problems, he usually has a smile on his face, a wagging tail to make you smile, and is looking for a family who will offer him a forever home.

Bunny needs to be an only dog or be with a submissive male. She is not mean or aggressive, but she is pushy and wants to get her way. She is great with adults, kids and cats but she needs to have her own space. She would love to have a job to do!
